Mostly with newborn babies you dress them in a onesie, the all-in-one bodysuit that ensures they’re kept warm and relatively dry but means you can also get access to their diaper quickly when you need to.

This baby has a kind of onesie, but this onesie is the sort of onesie you expect Iron Man to dress his child in.

It’s a full-on exoskeleton made from advanced high strength steel and comes complete with heads up display, enhanced running ability, and a collision warning system. Fortunately, just like a normal onesie, it does feature a butt flap so baby can dispose of his poop without making a mess.

Maybe in the future this is what the babies of 2020 will be dressed like, but for now we can but wonder at it.

Because in reality it’s actually showing off a whole bunch of cool smart caring technology featured on the new Hyundai range of cars. Still, awesome idea. Science, make it so!

Syria has been immersed in a Civil War since 2011 and it’s had a devastating effect on the civilian population. But, amongst the devastation and the horror, there is hope in the form of a group of volunteers known as White Helmets.

In the video above one of their members, Khaled Farah, talks about the moment he and his colleagues found a baby alive but buried beneath the rubble of an explosion. The moment in the video where the dust-covered baby is pulled from the wreckage is both heartwarming and upsetting.

This isn’t just an isolated incident either—risking their lives the White Helmets make it their job to search bomb rubble for signs of life and have saved 2,514 lives in the past year alone, according to Whitehelmets.org.

Tragically, the White Helmets aren’t receiving the funding they need to buy equipment and medical supplies to aide them in their work. A petition has been launched to ask donor governments to release funds to this organisation so they can get much needed tools and supplies. You can sign the petition here.

To keep saving lives in Syria, the White Helmets need protective gear, medical bags and digging tools. There are millions of dollars in existing funds that international donor governments have the influence to unlock. Some of that money isn’t being spent because decision-makers say they haven’t found the right projects to support.
