Plane Crash Video from Inside Cockpit
This is pretty insane, footage from a small airplane crash recorded from inside the cockpit from two different views. Fortunately everyone survived.
After take off they hit an air pocket that made them rapidly lose altitude, pushing them into the trees. The cameras were left on for a couple of hours during the aftermath.

OUCH!
Jeebus, that was insane, it all looked as if everything was perfect – WTF?
Well, that finally answers that age old question, “if a plane crashes in the woods and nobody’s around to hear it, does it make a noise?”.
The plane’s load wasn’t the main problem – they made it up the mountain. The problem was two-fold; one, warm air has less density than cold air… the lower the density, the less lift. The air was probably not as warm when they initially climbed the mountain. Two, the engine was a normal-aspirated engine. At that altitude and temperature, a good turbo-charger or less constricting intake/exhaust would be necessary to provide proper thrust. I’d side with caution and use a turbo charger.
Someone should remind him that those charts in the POH are there for a reason…dumb-ass.
Dunno about the pilot here, but by the 1:00 minute mark I’d have said “Nope, not today. Need some cooler temps.” He got sucker punched by density altitude.
That does it, i’m never flying again :/
Oh god
Awesome vid.
Insane clip.
